UCF College of Medicine Economic Impact PDF Print E-mail

The Spring 2009 edition of UCF Today headlined the economic impact of the new UCF College of Medicine. I requested more information to let our community know some specifics about the new College and its impact. The new College of Medicine will locate near Lake Nona. If you travel SR 417, you will notice the new interchange construction near Narcoossee Road. The large construction area to the South of this area is the new College of Medicine along with other health care facilities - California-based Burnham Institute for Medical Research, a Veteran's Administration hospital, Nemours Children's Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Institute. Upon completion, this area will likely be known as the Lake Nona Medical City

Tailgaters Restaurant and Bar PDF Print E-mail

The University of Central Florida has expanded tremendously over the past several years. One nice addition is the number of eateries available to the surrounding communities in addition to UCF residents. One of these places to eat is the Tailgaters Restaurant and Bar. Tailgaters is located near the UCF Arena. It is a sports bar type restaurant that can seat about 200 people. There are 2 projection screens and about 12 LCD televisions. The sports bar food emphasizes appetizers, sandwiches, Bar-B-Q, wings, pasta, and some seafood.
