University Estates, along with much of Central Florida, is in a moderate to low risk of flooding. In general, buildings in these zones could be flooded by severe, concentrated rainfall coupled with inadequate local drainage systems. Most drainage systems in unicorporated Orange County are maintained by the Orange County Roads and Drainage Division. You can call them at 836-3111 for questions and assistance on maintenance related drainage problems.

Flood insurance for these zones is available in communities participating in the National Flood Insurance Program. Moderate to low risk zones are indicated with the letters B, C or X on your community's Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). Find out more about low to moderate risk areas.
