Landscaping Committee

The Landscaping Committee shall have responsibility for oversight of the maintenance and improvement of all common areas owned and/or maintained by the POA, including landscaped areas and ponds, and shall advise the Board on matters relating to the POA's responsibility for arranging landscape maintenance services for those neighborhoods where such service is provided by the POA. Specifically, the Committee will work with the Property Manager, recommend the selection and participate in the oversight of a contractor to maintain all of the POA's landscaped areas and ponds. The committee will be cognizant of the condition of the POA's ponds and recommend solutions that will enhance their condition and appearance, working with the Property Manager and other necessary entities. The committee will also work with the Maintenance committee to maintain the short and long-term viability of the irrigation system and advise the Board of problems and corrective actions.

  • Chairperson The chairman is responsible for the overall responsibilities of the committee.
  • Lake Monitor: The Lake Monitor is responsible for monitoring the lakes and reporting any potential issues to the committee chairperson. This includes any unsightly weeds or growth that is not considered protected by St. John's Water Management. The person will also monitor the levels of the lakes and report any deviation in water levels to the committee chairperson.
  • Irrigation Monitor: The Irrigation monitor is responsible for monitoring the irrigation system and reporting any potential issues to the committee chairperson. This includes noting any broken sprinkler heads, zones running off cycle or not running at all.
  • Landscape Monitor: The landscape monitor is responsible for monitoring the plants and shrubs to ensure they are in good condition and report any issues to the committee chairperson. The person also monitors the trees to ensure they are trimmed and maintain adequate height to allow large trucks to pass without hitting the branches. The person also monitors the trees to ensure they is adequate space around the street lights to provide enough light to the surrounding area and also ensuring branches do not break the globes in high winds. The person also monitors the general upkeep of the common areas such as mowing and trimming and reports any issues to the committee chairperson.
